In this course we will explore the history, ideas and politics behind curriculum development in the United States. As an educator our work in the classroom is shaped by historical trends, political demands and ideas. We will learn how these ideas provide a background for how we teach, what our curriculum demands are and how we can better reach the needs of our students.
